Railways shuts ticket counters till March 31

Pune, March 22, 2020: In light of the ongoing emergency situation- COVID 19 and the health hazards thereto to our passengers, all passenger carrying train services including suburban have been cancelled till 31st March 2020 as per Ministry of Railways’ directives.

All the UTS and PRS counters on Central Railway shall therefore remain closed till 31.03.2020. There shall be no booking of tickets nor ticket refunds during the period.

Passengers can however claim refund of e-tickets online through IRCTC website. There shall be no booking of fresh parcel traffic during the period.

Railways have relaxed the refund rules for tickets and its period specially to meet the situation and convenience of passengers till 21.6.2020.

Cancellation of Passenger Train Services till 31.3.2020 on Central Railway

In continuation of the measures taken in the wake of COVID19, it is decided by Railways that all passenger train services on Indian Railways including Premium trains, mail/express trains, passenger trains, suburban trains shall be cancelled till 2400 hrs of 31.3.2020.

As such, suburban trains on Central Railway will be cancelled from 00.00 hrs (midnight of 22/23.3.2020) of 23.3.2020 to 24.00 hrs of 31.3.2020

Long distance trains which had already commenced their journey, prior to 04.00 am of 22.3.2020 will run up to their destinations.

To ensure the essential supplies in various parts of the country, movement of goods trains will continue.

To make it more convenient for passengers, full refund for all cancelled trains will be taken till 21.6.2020.
