Coronavirus home quarantined people missing, Pune City Police form teams to check

Pune, March 22, 2020: Today a special drive by Pune city police was done to check, guide and talk to home quarantine persons ( who returned from abroad and are advised home quarantine).

Commissioner of Police Dr K Venkatesham said, “136 special teams have been formed.
While majority of people were at home and are following the guidelines issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Pune police teams found that a small number of people have either shifted the residence within city, gone to their village in interiors of state or country or some have disappeared and are not reachable.”

Police have requested all these missing people to report to nearest police station on phone or to the helpline of Corona 1800 233 4130 detailing about their residence as also describing about their health and home quarantine measures. This way these people will help themselves and also their relatives health.

Punekars, people of Pune, can also help by providing information of such people.

Otherwise police will be compelled to take punitive action and they will not hesitate in their duty.
