Rain Alert: Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Pune, Raigad, and Other Districts
Pune, 21st May 2025: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Mumbai has issued a nowcast warning at 7:15 PM today, alerting residents of isolated thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and moderate rainfall. Gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 kmph are also expected.
The alert is in effect for the next 3-4 hours across several districts, including Raigad, Parbhani, Pune, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, Beed, and Jalna. Citizens in these areas are advised to take precautions while stepping outdoors.
Such weather conditions could lead to temporary disruptions in traffic, power supply, and outdoor activities. IMD has urged people to stay indoors and avoid sheltering under trees during thunderstorms.
