Rainfall Reported In Many Areas Of Pune Today

Pune, 24th June 2023: Rainfall has been reported in Pune’s Katraj, Karve Nagar, Kondhwa, Sinhgad Road, Chandni Chowk, Baner, Balewadi, Senapati Bapat Road and other areas. After a prolonged wait, showers have finally made an appearance.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted the likelihood of heavy rain in Maharashtra today and tomorrow. In Vidarbha, the monsoon arrived in some parts yesterday (Friday). Additionally, a few districts in West Vidarbha and Mumbai observed scattered light showers on Friday morning.

Despite the conclusion of June, several regions in the state are still awaiting rainfall. However, conditions are becoming favourable for the southwest monsoon to progress in specific areas.

Farmers in the state have faced difficulties due to the prolonged delay in monsoon. Farmers, in particular, are confronting a significant crisis. Thankfully, rainfall has been predicted in the state starting tomorrow, providing much-needed relief for the farmers.

Over the next four days, the state is expected to receive rainfall ranging from heavy to light, accompanied by thundershowers. Mumbai, in particular, is likely to experience heavy rain.
