Rajpath Infracon puts India on the Global map with four new Guinness World Records in Road Construction Sector
Pune, January 22nd, 2026 :Rajpath Infracon Pvt. Ltd., Pune has created global history by being officially awarded four Guinness World Records in road construction for its landmark performance on the Bengaluru – Vijayawada Economic Corridor (NH-544G) in Andhra Pradesh. These unprecedented achievements were delivered between 5 January and 11 January 2026 on Package-2 and Package-3 of this six-lane, access-controlled greenfield national highway.
Under the leadership of Shri Jagdish Kadam, a COEP-trained civil engineer, and the Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Rajpath Infracon Pvt. Ltd., the company achieved a historic upgrade of its own global benchmark – surpassing its earlier Guinness World Record set in 2022 in Amaravati District, Maharashtra on NH-53 of 42.2 km two-lane – a first ever Guinness World Record made in road construction in India.
The four Guinness World Records awarded to Rajpath Infracon are:
– Longest continuous stretch of bituminous concrete laid in 24 hours: 9.632 km three-lane means 28.89km single-lane
– Highest quantity of bituminous concrete laid in 24 hours: 10,654 MT
– Longest stretch of bituminous concrete laid continuously: 52.411km three-lane means 157km single-lane (Broke Rajpath Infracon’s previous record of 42.2km two-lane)
– Highest quantity of bituminous concrete laid continuously: 57,982 MT
These achievements were delivered through the mobilization of 1 sensor paver with feeder, 5 hot-mix plants, 70 HYVA tippers, 12 tandem rollers, 5 pneumatic-tyred rollers (PTRs), and over 800 workers, operating in perfect synchronization round the clock for 6.5 days. Executed under the guidance of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and in strict compliance with stringent quality, safety, and engineering standards, the record-making effort was supported by technical and quality-monitoring partnerships with IIT Bombay (Department of Civil Engineering) and COEP Technological University, ensuring rigorous laboratory testing, real-time data monitoring, and continuous Quality Control and Quality Assurance throughout the attempt.
These Guinness World Records were achieved on NH-544G, one of India’s most critical greenfield economic corridors under the Bharatmala Pariyojana (Phase II), designed to link the manufacturing, logistics, and agricultural hubs of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh with key eastern ports – reinforcing India’s growing global stature in high-performance infrastructure execution.
On 12 January 2026, the celebration and dedication ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin ji Gadkari, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. Chandrababu Naidu ji, NHAI Chairman Shri Santosh Kumar Yadav ji, Hon’ble Minister of Roads and Buildings of Andhra Pradesh B. C. Janardhan Reddy ji, Hon’ble MP B. K. Parthasarathi, Hon’ble MLA Palle Sindhura Reddy, and Hon’ble Ex-Minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy, underscoring the national importance of this achievement for India’s highway infrastructure sector.
