Raksha Bandhan Celebrated With 154 Students At NDRF’s Sudumbare Campus In Pune
Pune, 29th August 2026: Raksha Bandhan was celebrated at the 05 Battalion National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) campus in Sudumbare, Pune, with 154 students and teachers from three schools participating in the programme.
Students from Podar International School, Talegaon; Late MLA Sureshbhau Gore Secondary & Higher Secondary School, Chakan; and Dnyanwardhini Vidyalaya, Chakan, took part in the celebration.
As part of the programme, students tied rakhis to NDRF personnel and expressed their gratitude towards the rescuers.
The students also visited the NDRF Equipment Gallery, where they were introduced to various rescue equipment and briefed about disaster response and rescue operations.
05 Battalion NDRF Commandant S. B. Singh appreciated the students’ participation and spoke to them about discipline, compassion and service towards society and the nation.
The programme also focused on creating awareness among students about disaster preparedness and rescue operations, while providing an opportunity for interaction between the NDRF personnel and the local community.
