‘Rasta Roko’ by Sakal Maratha Samaj in Shinoli

Belgaum : The road to Shinoli was stopped on Sunday by the Maratha community Belgaum for demanding reservation for the Maratha community along with border issue.

Thousands of Marathas from Chandgad, Belgaum, have participated in this. A road blockade was organized and they demanded that Belgaum, Karwar, Nipani, Bidar and Bhalki should be included in Maharashtra.

Transportation on this route has been completely jammed due to Sunday as hundreds of vehicles going to Amboli and other places. Activists greeted the statue of Sambhaji Raje in Dharmaveer Sambhaji Chowk and entered Shinoli.
Shinoli has been kept closed to support the movement. Former MLA Manohar Keenkar, Prakash Murgaale and Gunvant Patil of Sakal Maratha Samaj, Kolhapur Shivsena district president Vijay Devane, Belgaum Shivsena’s Prakash Shirolkar and thousands of other activists have participated in this protest.
