Re-impose Janta Curfew in Pune If Necessary: Deputy CM Ajit Pawar

Pune, September 12, 2020: Considering the increasing number of Coronavirus cases in the city, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Pune’s Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar has asked the city administration to impose Janta curfew, if necessary. He also added that the administration must see to it that the Janta curfew would not cause a nuisance to the citizens and traders in the city.

Pawar gave instructions in this regard in a meeting held in presence of Pune Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao, Pune Commissioner of Police Dr K Venkatesham, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash, Pune Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Pune District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh and others.

After Settlement Commissioner S Chokkalingam mentioned that curfew and lockdown are being imposed in several parts of the state, Pawar instructed the administrators to impose a Janta curfew in Pune if it is necessary, but only after taking all the precaution so that the citizens and traders do not go through any trouble.
