Pune, 1st March 2023: Student registration for admission to private schools under the Right to Education Act (RTE) for economically weaker and disadvantaged sections will commence from March 1, with the last date for online applications being March 17.

According to Sharad Gosavi, the Director of the Directorate of Primary Education, the school education department issued an instruction to accept the child’s Aadhaar card for admission, which led to the decision to begin the student registration process.

A total of 1,01,926 seats are available for admission in 8,827 schools under this year’s RTE admission process. The online application process and admission details, including required documents, can be found on the https://student.maharashtra.gov.in/ website.

Parents and guardians have been waiting for the student registration process to start, following the completion of the school registration process for RTE admissions. This admission process is crucial for children from economically weaker and disadvantaged sections, who may not have access to quality education otherwise.
