Release of “Hindi Pakhwada Special Issue” magazine by Principal Controller (Defence Accounts) Southern Command, Pune

Pune, 20th September 2023: The Third (IIIrd) All India Official Language Conference and National Hindi Day were jointly celebrated and organized by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs at Shiv Chhatrapati Stadium, Balewadi, Pune on dated 14th and 15th September 2023.

 During this grand ceremony, on dated 15th September 2023 at 12:30 pm, Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, PCDA(SC) Pune, released the “Hindi Pakhwada Special Issue” magazine. This event featured distinguished dignitaries including Honorable Governor of Kerala A.M. Khan, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Smt. Anshuli Arya IAS, Secy(Official Language) & Meenakshi Joll,Jt. Secy(Official Language), A.S. Rajiv, Managing Director, Ajay Kumar Mishra Chief Executive Officer, Bank of Maharashtra, Ajay Kumar Srivastava, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IOB, and other Senior officers of GOI & dignitaries. 

“Hindi Pakhwada Special Issue” magazine covered activities related to Celebration and Observance of Hindi Fortnight observed wef 01st September 2023 to 08th September 2023 at PCDA(SC) Pune and other 106 sub-Offices coming under ambit of Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Southern Command), Pune. These activities included a Hindi seminar panel discussion session and open house on linguistic chauvinism competitions such as Hindi essay competition, Hindi self-composed poetry competition, Hindi poster competition, Hindi debate competition, and Hindi quiz competition, all organized under the guidance stewardship of PCDA(SC) and Hindi Kaksha Rajbhasha Cell Pune.

The magazine showcases excellent essays from the winning participants of the Hindi essay competition, which, for the first time, extended to employees throughout the organization. The topics presented were “राष्ट्र के माथे की बिंदी: राजभाषा हिन्दी ” and “जय राजभाषा – जय हिन्द.”

These essays are really the hallmark in clarifying and clearing the cobweb of thoughts, actions, ideas & promotion relating to and revolving around the official language which are contemporary in nature and related to the subject matter.

Additionally, the magazine features creative and artistic poetry from participants hailing from Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa etc in the Hindi self-composed poetry competition, which was also open to all employees of the organization. The winning entries of the Hindi Poster Competition organized within Principal Controller (Defence Accounts) Southern Command, Pune are also highlighted and incorporated in the programme.

Distinguished dignitaries praised the “Hindi Pakhwada Special Issue” as a valuable contribution in promoting & promulgating the Official Language. They whole heartedly commended the sincere efforts of Principal Controller (Defence Accounts), Southern Command, Pune, in fulfilling constitutional responsibilities and enhancing interest and proficiency in making more and more views of Hindi in Official dealings. The magazine serves as an inspiration for readers and Central Government employees alike.

It is one of its kind in the central government as till to date we had been publishing Annual Magazine and Quarterly Newsletters Publications. But this is FORTNIGHTLY a point worth mentioning.   

Dr. Rajeev S. Chavan, IDAS, ndc, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Southern Command) Pune expressed his sincere gratitude to all dignitaries and attendees at the grand function. He emphasized the magazine’s importance in eliminating language barriers and fostering interest & propagating the spirit of Hindi among employees. The special issue showcases employees’ skills and perspectives, contributing to the promotion and implementation of the official language which is the need of the hour and demand of time as more than 60% Indians speaks, reads and write Hindi and it is the 3rd most spoken language of the world. We need to make it a global language and expand its presence and eminence in global language scope of the universe which is long awaited and distant dream, he further added.
