Renewal of Free PMPML Bus Passes for Disabled and Special Citizens in Pune

Pune, 1st April 2025: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), through the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML), has announced the renewal of free bus passes for disabled individuals and special citizens, including freedom fighters, President’s medal winners and national athletes, for the financial year 2025-26. These passes, initially issued for 2024-25, expired on 31st March. Renewal services have begun today and will continue until 30th April.

Pass holders can renew their passes at PMPML’s Swargate hHadquarters, located on Shankar Sheth Road in Pune. The renewal process is available Monday to Saturday, excluding Sundays, during two time slots: 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. To complete the renewal, applicants must submit their original pass from 2024-25, a photocopy of their Aadhaar card, and two passport-size color photographs.

The renewal drive was inaugurated by PMPML Chairperson and Managing Director Deepa Mudhol-Munde at Swargate today, where passes were distributed to ten disabled citizens as a symbolic gesture marking the beginning of the initiative.

The PMC has urged all eligible pass holders to renew their passes within the stipulated timeframe. Until the renewal is completed, passes from the previous year will remain valid for travel on PMPML buses until April 30, 2025.
