Pimpri Chinchwad, 1st April 2025: Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has officially transitioned to a paperless administration with the launch of its e-office system on today. This digital initiative, developed under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Smart City Limited’s GIS-enabled ERP project, aims to streamline operations, enhance transparency, and improve administrative efficiency.

The e-office system replaces traditional paperwork with digital record-keeping, ensuring that all municipal documents are preserved electronically. This transformation comes after multiple delays since its initial target launch on 1st January of this year. Despite setbacks due to technical challenges, the system is now operational across all departments of the municipal corporation.

The project, which cost Rs 112 crore, includes 33 computer systems designed to facilitate over 1,000 re-engineered municipal processes. Employees at various levels have been trained extensively, and unique digital codes have been issued to ensure seamless administrative workflows.

According to PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh, “This marks a significant step towards adopting new technology. No offline files will be accepted anymore.”
