Residents of Padmavati up in arms with MSEDCL over inflated bills
Pune, October 8, 2020: Residents of Padmavati and surrounding areas carried out protests at the office of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for sending inflated electricity bills.
Apparently, MSEDCL had come under fire from people across the state for sending inflated bills for the three months of lockdown. Corporator Mahesh Wabale gave a memorandum to the MSEDCL engineer which mentioned that the people are ready to pay the bills, but the real time billing should be done, should be given the concession to pay the bills in monthly installments among others.
