Revolutionizing Cancer Treatment: CyberKnife S7 Robotic Radiotherapy System Now in Pune

Pune, 31st July 2023: Pune’s Ruby Hall Clinic and Bajaj Finserv jointly launched the groundbreaking CyberKnife S7 robotic radiotherapy system, revolutionizing cancer treatment in India. The technology, unveiled by Dr. Bhagwat Karad, Minister of State of Finance, received significant support with the presence of dignitaries like Sanjeev Bajaj, Dr. Cyrus Poonawala, and Shefali Bajaj, among others, at the ceremony held on July 29, 2023, at Ritz Carlton Hotel near Pune Airport.
The CyberKnife S7 system is set to transform cancer treatment with its precise and non-invasive radiation therapy, specifically targeting tumors. At the event, Dr. Bhooshan Zade, Director of CyberKnife Radiosurgery and Radiation Oncology, highlighted the importance of the system, offering personalized treatment plans to patients. The real-time tracking capability of the CyberKnife ensures accurate targeting, resulting in shorter treatment times and reduced side effects.
Behram Khodaiji, CEO of Ruby Hall Clinic, expressed his enthusiasm, emphasizing that CyberKnife is a significant milestone, expanding treatment options for patients. Moreover, Shefali Bajaj, Chairperson of Bajaj Finserv’s CSR Steering Committee, announced their collaboration’s aim to offer free treatment for pediatric cases and subsidized care for underprivileged patients, highlighting their commitment to philanthropy.
Impressively, the CyberKnife S7 has the capacity to treat 200 patients daily, with each treatment session lasting only 20 minutes. Dr. Karad, in his address, praised India’s progress in the healthcare sector, especially with the development of advanced medical equipment. He believes that the new CyberKnife technology will position Pune city as a Medical Hub of the Country.
In addition to the groundbreaking technology’s launch, the ceremony also felicitated Ali Daruwala and Dr. Parvez Grant for their appointments to the National Council for Minorities, recognizing their contributions in the field. The introduction of the CyberKnife S7 marks a major step forward in cancer treatment and reinforces India’s commitment to advanced healthcare under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.
