Riverside Renewal: Ocean Ally Foundation and Black & Veatch Pune Team Up for Cleanup
Deccan, 6th November 2023: In a collaborative effort towards marine and maritime conservation, Ocean Ally Foundation, a Pune-based NGO, partnered with Black and Veatch Pune, a globally renowned engineering, procurement, consulting, and construction company specializing in infrastructure development. Together, they organized a River Bank Cleanup drive at Bhide Bridge in the early hours of November 4th.
The initiative saw employees of both organizations, accompanied by their families and friends, actively participating in the cleanup drive. Beyond the immediate impact of cleaning up the river bank, the event aimed to emphasize the importance of fostering a clean and sustainable environment for the community, promoting the concept of a green and livable city.
The Pune Municipal Corporation’s Vishrambaug Wada ward played a crucial role in supporting the initiative by collecting the segregated waste for timely and responsible disposal.
