With its outstanding opening day collection, Karan Johar’s film now holds the distinction of being the fifth-highest Hindi film opener of the year. The top position is still held by Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pathaan,” which opened with an astounding Rs 57 crore at the box office. Following “Pathaan” are “Adipurush,” “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,” and “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar,” which garnered Rs 36 crore, Rs 15.81 crore, and Rs 15.73 crore, respectively, on their respective opening days.

In celebration of the film’s success, Karan Johar hosted a star-studded success bash at his Mumbai residence on Friday night. The event saw the presence of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Manish Malhotra, and many other prominent figures.

“Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, alongside veteran actors Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan in significant roles. The film also features supporting actors such as Tota Roy Chowdhury, Ronit Roy, Saswata Chatterjee, Karmveer Choudhary, and Kshitee Jog.

This film marks Karan Johar’s return as a director after a gap of seven years since “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,” and although it may not be deemed his best work, it has left audiences with a joyful and nostalgic experience. Showsha’s review of the movie praised Karan Johar’s prowess in crafting family sagas, suggesting that he is the undisputed king in this genre of cinema.
