Scheduled for a potential launch in the Indian market on November 24 at Motoverse in Goa, the big question is how it will measure up against its competitors post-launch. It stands head-to-head with the KTM 390 Adventure and faces another formidable contender, the CFMoto 450 MT, which could present a stiff challenge upon its own release, possibly at the ongoing EICMA 2023 event in Italy. This adventure bike is engineered for versatile terrain, ensuring comfortable travel on rough or hilly roads. Equipped with a robust 452 cc liquid-cooled engine, it generates 40.2 BSP of power and 40 MM torque. With a total weight of 198 kg and an expansive 17-liter fuel tank capacity, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is primed for enduring journeys.

The 2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 boasts a striking and appealing design, featuring a distinctive white and green color scheme, a fresh frame, and segmented green seats. Noteworthy design elements include a solitary LED headlamp, a tall see-through windscreen, metal tank braces, a capacious fuel tank, rubberized rider footpegs, metal pillion footpegs, and an LED tail lamp at the rear. Its instrument cluster is a standout feature, a four-inch fully digital circular display. Split into two sections, the upper portion houses the navigation system with Google Map support, while the lower portion provides additional detailed information such as speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, gear position, fuel gauge, real-time indicators like ABS mode and right mode. Additional amenities include a USB Type C charging port for mobile devices, smartphone connectivity, and media controls.

Under the hood, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 houses a potent 452 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder fuel-injected four-valve engine, delivering 40.2 bhp at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 40 at 5,500 rpm. It pairs with a six-speed gearbox for optimal performance. Suspension duties are handled by upside-down front forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is managed by a 320mm hydraulic disc brake with dual-piston calipers at the front and a 270mm hydraulic disc brake with a single-piston caliper at the rear. Safety features include a dual-channel ABS system, traction control, and an anti-locking braking system.
