New Delhi, 2nd May 2025: Indian Railways has announced a national design competition to standardise digital clocks across all railway stations in the country. The initiative is part of a broader effort under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, aimed at modernising and redeveloping railway infrastructure nationwide.

The Railway Board has structured the competition into three categories: professionals, college and university students, and school students. Each category will award a prize of Rs 5 lakh to the winner, along with five consolation prizes of Rs 50,000 each.

According to Dilip Kumar, Executive Director (Information and Publicity) of the Railway Board, participants are required to submit high-resolution digital clock designs without any watermark or logo. Submissions must be accompanied by a certificate of originality and a concept note explaining the design theme. Multiple entries are permitted, provided each is original and free from any intellectual property violations.

Entries can be submitted via email to [email protected] between May 1 and May 31.

The digital clocks, once selected and installed, will not only ensure accurate time display but also aim to embody the aesthetic and cultural identity of Indian Railways. The project supports the government’s push to strengthen digital infrastructure across public utilities.
