Rural Parts Of Pune Most Affected With Conjunctivitis In District

Pune 3rd August 2023: As Pune district remains most affected with Conjunctivitis in the state, the official data reveals that the rural areas in Pune are reporting more cases. A total of 1,090 new cases were reported in the rural parts on Wednesday taking the total cases in rural parts to 9,098.

According to the official report, a total of 13,998 cases have been reported in the Pune district so far Including 1,052 cases from Pune Municipal Corporation limits, 3,047 from Pimpri Chinchwad and 9,898 from Pune rural. A total of 8,517 of these patients have already recovered.

On Wednesday, the district reported 2,495 new cases including 811 from PMC, 594 from PCMC and 1,090 cases from Pune Rural. The administration has already started house to house and schools survey to identify these cases. The total of 3,085 schools have been inspected in the rural parts so far while 2,896 houses were also surveyed. Khed block remains most affected with 7,823 cases reported so far.
