School kids donate cash for betterment of Marathwada farmers

Pune – At the age 14-15 when Summer holidays are meant to chill out with friends, kids of Orion Complex Aundh Road, Pune decided to make a difference!

These 11 kids arranged a Summer Camp for 26 small children for 7 days and decided to donate the amount collected to NAAM FOUNDATION – a non-governmental organization started by Indian movie actors Nana Patekar and Makarand Anaspure.

The foundation works for betterment of farmers in the drought-prone areas of Marathwada and and Vidarbha in the state of Maharashtra. Cash of ₹ 15000 was handed over to Nana Patekar on 1 June at his residence in Pune.

Mr. Patekar highly appreciated and encouraged the kids and advised them to have a focused approach towards planning their future. Kids have decided to conduct such activities every year and try their best to make the world a better place.
