Naukri Job Speak Index for Pune recorded a growth of 24% in hiring activity in May’16 over May’15
- ITES/BPO witnessed an increase of 34% in hiring activity
- Insurance and Auto recorded a growth of 31% and 11% respectively
Pune, 14th June, 2016: The Naukri Job Speak Index for Pune in the month of May’16 was at 2308 as compared to 1866 in May’15, thereby witnessing an increase of 24% in the hiring activity. Core sectors of the city, ITES/BPO recorded a growth of 34% in the hiring activity. Demand for professionals from IT-Software is up by 33%, Accounts is up by 22% and ITES/BPO is up by an impressive 49%.

Industry Wise Analysis
Among key sectors of the city, IT-Software and ITES post a positive growth, Healthcare is also up by 31%. Pharma and Automobiles also witnessed a growth of 26% and 11%. After a spell of posting negative growth, IT-Hardware has recovered with an 8% growth in May’16 index.
Functional Area Analysis
Demand for professionals from ITES/BPO, IT-Software and Sales is up by 49%, 33% and 19%. However, demand for professionals from Project Management and IT-Hardware professionals is down by -10% and -3% respectively.
