Pune, December 15, 2020: The Federation of Schools Association of Maharashtra has called for a three day closure of the schools from December 15 to 17 as the financial conditions of English medium schools are poor since over 50 percent of parents have not paid the fees. Several school managements have shown their inability to continue in this condition. The federation has warned off an agitation.

For three days schools from Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad will be closed said, federation president Rajendra Singh. Although, the schools are not physically opened, the online education is on and so does the other administrative work of the schools.

Singh said, “Despite giving various concessions and time to pay the fees, the parents have not paid the fees. In such situation it is difficult to run the school management. Our aim is not to close down the school under the pretext of financial condition, but it had really become difficult to run schools in this way.”

“The survey which we conducted showed that over 50 percent of the parents have not paid the fees. Those parents who really have problems paying the fees should contact the federation”, he informed.
