Second edition of Commissioners Veterans Cricket Cup 2024 from February 10.
Pune, February 7, 2024: The Second edition of Commissioners Veterans Cricket Cup 2024 which will be organized by Maharashtra Veteran Cricket Association in association with EDGE Eventz & Entertainment will be played at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana Cricket Ground on 10th and 11th February 2024.
Speaking to the reporters Mr.Ranjeet More, Acting President, Maharashtra Veteran Cricket Association, Mr.Sudhir Kulkarni, Secretary, Maharashtra Veteran Cricket Association, Mr. Ranjit Khirid, Captain of MVCA & Former Ranji Player, Mr.Umesh Borade, CEO of BU Bhandari Ather and Mr. Aniket Soman, Director, EDGE Eventz & Entertainment said that,
BVCI stands for one prime goal: that age is just a number. In a society where people are expected to start thinking of retirement at the age of forty andaget a definite retirement by the age of sixty, BVCI atarts the enrolment in teams from the age of forty. We have three age groups which will be aour continued focus: 40+, 50+ and 60+ (goldensquad). BVCI, you get trained for professional cricket,a which ranges from domestic to international -fixtures and the world cup.
We are organizing a friendly Commissioners Cricket Tournament with in the Government Organizaton to strengthen the bonds between the organizations. The event will be sponsored by Majestic Realties, Co-Sponsored by BU Bhandari Ather, Suhana Masalewale, Kumar Properties,Rajasa Collection.
A total 6 teams which included Income-Tax Tigers, GST Giants, PMC Titans, Gramin Challengers, Police Warriors, Charity Legends will be seen in the action, they added.
This is the second successive year of veteran’s cup and will be played on League cum knockout basis.
The winner and runner up team will get trophy. Apart from that Best Batsman, Best Bowler and man of the series will get trophy during the event, they added.
