Serious Road Accident on BRT Route in Pimpri Chinchwad Leaves Two-Wheeler Rider Critical; Onlookers Record Accident Instead of Helping
Wakad, 10th January 2025: A serious road accident occurred half an hour ago on the bus rapid transit (BRT) route in Pimpri Chinchwad. A TVS Jupiter two-wheeler was being overtaken by a Honda City when the car driver lost control and rammed into the two-wheeler. Onlookers at the scene focused on recording the incident instead of helping the injured two-wheeler rider, who was in critical condition. The two-wheeler was completely crushed in the collision.
The incident took place on the road between Jagtap Dairy Chowk and Kaspate Chowk, under the jurisdiction of Wakad Police Station. Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate’s (PCPC) control room received a call about the accident at approximately 10 PM. Police officials at the scene questioned why no one assisted the victim and instead chose to film the accident.
Fortunately, the accident occurred near a hospital, and the police promptly transported the victim for medical treatment. The four-wheeler driver sustained injuries as well, though they are not severe. Further details are awaited.
