SET Exam Date Will Be Announced Soon; Pune University Recieves Approval

Pune, 10th October 2022: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has clarified that exemption has been received from the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted for the post of Assistant Professor. The date of the examination will be announced soon.


Dr Karbhari Kale, Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University, has succeeded in following up with the commission in this regard.

With the approval of the UGC, on behalf of the State Government, SPPU conducts the State Level Eligibility Examination for the candidates of Maharashtra and Goa by.
Students as well as many student organisations had expressed to conduct this exam at the earliest.


However, the approval of the UGC is necessary to conduct the examination, hence, the university is trying to get approval for the same.

Keeping in view the demand of the students, Dr Karbhari Kale visited the Grants Commission office in New Delhi and tried to get the approval. After that, within a few days, the commission has given this approval and now the preparations for planning the examination have started at the university level.


Dr Prafulla Pawar, Registrar of the University and Member Secretary of SET Examination said that the date of the examination will be announced by the university soon. Also like the previous year, this year too, the university will organize guidance lectures for the students.
