Viman Nagar/Baner, 9th July 2025: In a major crackdown, Pune Police have busted a prostitution racket being operated under the guise of spa centers in the city’s Baner and Viman Nagar areas. A total of 18 girls — including foreign nationals and two minors — have been rescued in separate raids carried out by the police.

The investigation began after law enforcement received credible information about illegal activities taking place in spa and massage centers. Acting swiftly, police teams raided two locations. The first raid, conducted at a spa center in the Airport area, led to the rescue of 16 girls. Among them, 10 were identified as foreign nationals, while the remaining included two Indian citizens.

Following this operation, police initiated action against the owner, manager, and others associated with running the spa. In a second raid carried out in the Baner area, two more girls were rescued. A woman identified as Kiran alias Anuradha Baburao Aade (28) was arrested in this case.

According to the police, Kiran Aade was not only managing the spa but also owned it. The investigation revealed that she lured young girls — including two minors — from financially weak families under the pretext of offering them high-paying jobs. She is accused of coercing them into prostitution.

A case has been registered against Aade under relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act (PITA) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The rescued minor girls have been taken into protective custody and are being provided with counseling and support.
