Shiv Chattrapati Awardee Anand Tulpule Passes away
Pune, March 4, 2023 : Shiv Chattrapati awardee and veteran Tennis Administrator Mr. Anand Vitthal Tulpule passed away in Pune due to illness he was 72 years old
Tulpule was Pune’s Tennis organisation stalwart and sports administrator having organised Numerous National and International Tournaments including Satellites, Futures , he was also involved with Numerous Davis Cup events organised at Deccan Gymkhana over 45 years
Mr Tulpule Steered Deccan Gymkhana Tennis for over 3 decades
His stint as Deccan Gymkhana General Secretary brought discipline and stability to the historic Club
He was the Jt Secretary of MSLTA and later on nominated as the Life Vice President on MSLTA Board .
He is survived by his wife Mrunal, Son Rahul and Former India No 1 Tennis Player and Fed Cupper Daughter Radhika Tulpule Kanitkar and 3 Grandchildren
The last rites were performed at Vaikunth Crematorium which was attended by numerous persons from the Sports Fraternity .
