Shocking! 25-Year-Old Mentally Challenged Girl Gangraped, Pune Police Arrest 4 Accused

Dattawadi, 28th August 2021: Four persons have been arrested by Pune city police allegedly gangraping a 25-year-old mentally challenged girl. The incident took place in the evening at Janta Vasahat.
The arrested have been identified as Shrikant Sarode (36), Aditya alias Sanya Pawar (19), Survesh Jadhav (36) and Ashish Mohite (18), all residents of Janata Vasahat.
Senior police inspector Krishna Indalkar said that the girl from Katraj was on her way home from Swargate on Friday evening. One of the accused brought her to the Janta Vasahat and called others. The four of them raped her one after the other.
Police said that the passersby heard the cries of the girl and locked the house from outside and informed police. Dattawadi police station officials to the spot and rescued the girl and nabbed the four.
A case of gang rape has been registered against them. Further investigation is being conducted by Dattawadi police station officials.
