Six new members added to the Advisory Board of Suryadatta Group of Institutes (SGI)

19 DEC 2018 , PUNE : As a part of its KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT INITIATIVE, Suryadatta Group of Institute inducted six new members to its Advisory board, each a luminary in their respective field. These members have been appointed for a period of three years, so that they can advice and guide SGI in their core area of competencies. They were felicitated with a scarf designed by the Fashion design students of Suryadatta, a certificate appointing them as the Advisory board members and mementos. The newly inducted members are:

Dr. Rekha Rohitashv Gour, Ph.D.(H),rendered her services in Tata Memorials Centre, Bombay (Cancer Research Institute) 1992 to 2017. She has been an inspiration to women in many ways. She has been supporting and encouraging them to participate and represent themselves at all level whenever there is an opportunity for it. She has organized many Blood Donation Camps and adult education programmes for needy people and in support of Cancer Patients. She successfully organized many road shows on Health Awareness ,Yobics on wheel, Say No To Drugs, Cancer Awareness etc. She is wife of well known actor Rohitashv Gour, who is now popularly known as Tiwariji of “Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain”.

Mr. Vivek Pawar not only holds the Grasim Mr. India best smile title but is also a Grasim Mr. India finalist. Apart from that, He is International Train the Trainer from College Of Public Speaking; London. VIVZ Finishing School ,a part of London Fashion Week and official grooming partner of Femina Stylista is his brain child.

Dr. Kavita Nalwa is a former athelete and founder of Yobics Workout and 7 times World Records India and India Book of Records Holder. Yobics workout can be done by people from all age group and from all walks of life. Yobics is a total body workout and is the only workout which gives you fitness and health in the fastest and safest way.

Mr. Rahul Jain is co founder of FMA Digital and project director ASMA. He is a seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience in education & training startup’s, running business, building products & teams. He is a renowned speaker on Digital Marketing .

Mr. Deepak Toshniwal, President, Rotary Club Pune Fortune. He is a leading and prominent personality of Pune who is well known for his dedication and passion for social work. He has been a leading figure in the fields of peace and conflict prevention/resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, economic and community development to name a few.

Mr. Sachin Itkar is a Senior Program Advisor with the Strategic Foresight Group. He also works closely with the Alliance for US-India Business (AUSIB) and is the founder of ‘Arise And Awake Foundation’, which seeks to improve the quality of education in rural Maharashtra. Apart from this, Sachin is a guest faculty for pharmacy and healthcare management programs in a number of universities in India and abroad.

At Suryadatta, the energy of students is also channelized towards participation in various activities depending on student interests, apart from academics. This combined with professional and personal grooming modules, helps in holistic development. Weekly workshops and seminars by experts from various walks of life are organised to benefit students. So far, more than 250 distinguished personalities including Padma and Nobel awardees have enlightened the students.

Suryadatta nurtures independence, both in action and in thought, through Academic Input and Learning Skills. Practical exposure through Fieldwork, Mini Projects and Entrepreneurship Development, further help students towards self-efficiency. The students are encouraged to do Live Projects with industry during semester and each year all the students are involved in working on live issues faced by corporate and government organisations.

Also, the traditional ways of managing organisations are becoming obsolete as the business environment continues to reshape rapidly with the growing market demand and consumer preferences. To fulfil the needs of industry, we at Suryadatta are teaching this new paradigm of leadership by introducing the concept of transformational leadership by utilising various tools like feedback, psychometric tests, outbound activities and leadership assessment.
