Pune, 28 April 2026: Train services continued to remain affected a day after the derailment of a coach of the Vande Bharat Express 22225 CSMT–Solapur at Pune Railway Station, with authorities announcing the cancellation of a key return service.

According to railway officials, Train No. 22226 Solapur–CSMT Vande Bharat Express scheduled to depart from Solapur on April 28, 2026, has been cancelled.

The disruption follows Monday evening’s incident in which a coach of the Mumbai–Solapur Vande Bharat Express derailed while entering the platform area at Pune station. No passengers were injured in the incident.

Railway authorities had initiated restoration work at the site and arranged alternate travel options for stranded passengers. However, ripple effects on train operations have continued into the next day, impacting schedules and services on the route.

Further updates on restoration and resumption of normal services are awaited.
