Speeding Car Driven by Policeman’s Son Hits Woman in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Case Registered
Pimpri Chinchwad, 13th June 2024: In Pimpri-Chinchwad, a speeding car driven by Vinay Vilas Naikere, the son of a policeman, struck a woman crossing the road, causing her injuries that required hospital treatment. CCTV footage of the incident clearly shows the severity of the collision. Jeevaram Tejaram Chaudhary filed a complaint regarding this incident, leading to the registration of a case against Vinay, aged 23.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday (12th June) afternoon when the car collided with a woman crossing the road. Fortunately, she survived but sustained injuries and was promptly hospitalized. The MIDC Bhosari Police Station registered a case against Vinay under IPC Sections 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way), 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others), and relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988, 24 hours after the incident.
