March 12: Lonavala / Pune: ‘Consider life as a ride and overcome fears’ was the message of Sri Sri Ravishankar, renowned spiritual leader, humanitarian and an ambassador of peace. He was addressing the gathering after inaugurating ‘Magic Mountain’, an amusement park near Lonavala set up by the Sangamner based Malpani Group yesterday. He very nicely related the rides and life and gave message to make life simple, easy and stress free.

Bhanumati Narsimhan, younger sister of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, former state minister Balasaheb Thorat, MP Shrirang Barne, members of the Malpani family including Rajesh, Sanjay, Manish, Girish and Ashish Malpani were present on the occasion along were their next generation Jai, Yash and Harsh Malpani.

Sri Sri Ravishankar said, “Things would become easier if you consider life as rides, where you enjoy the thrill but feel safe and guarded by the invisible divine power just like the rides in the amusement parks when you enjoy the thrill but have a feeling of being safe at the back of your mind.”

“The problem of depression in the society is increasing with massive speed and is likely to becomes the biggest worry of the world in the years to come and such amusements parks could act as a tool for overcoming the stress. Such parks and the rides here take away all your ego and superiority complex and bring back the innocence of childhood resulting in sheer joy, which is very important in life. It will help you to rise above fear, apprehension and anxiety”, he added.

While sharing information about the Magic Mountain amusement park Manish Malpani said, “This is the first of its kind environment friendly amusement park, which uses large amount of recycled rain water that gets collected in an adjoining quarry during monsoon and also uses solar energy to power most of the needs of the park.”

“Magic Mountain is set up with an investment of about Rs.250 Cr and has 31 rides / attractions with various options appropriate for children and adults. All rides are of international standards and are set up by the best known multi-national companies in the world. While the rides are very innovative and offer best in class thrill and experience, major emphasis is given on safety. With a solar powered parking facility for 1000+ cars, Magic Mountain is also India’s largest amusement park with a solar powered parking facility. In the near future more rides shall be added to Magic Mountain and a 200 room five star category resort will also be set up here”, he added
