State-Level Tourism Festival to be Held at Mahabaleshwar-Panchgani in April
Satara, 28th January 2025: The Maharashtra state government, in collaboration with the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC), is set to host a grand tourism festival at Mahabaleshwar-Panchgani, two renowned hill stations in Satara district, in April. The festival, which will span three days, aims to showcase the natural beauty and tourist attractions of the region.
The MTDC has been tasked with involving private companies to design and organize various activities during the event. Satara’s Guardian Minister and State Tourism Minister, Shambhuraj Desai, highlighted the importance of timing the festival with the start of the summer holidays. “We are scheduling this festival for the summer break, allowing families and children to explore the hill stations,” he said.
“We are finalizing activities and attractions for the festival. One of the highlights will be a helicopter ride for tourists. Additionally, we have instructed all relevant departments to ensure smooth operations, including uninterrupted power supply, well-maintained roads, and adequate parking to prevent any congestion.”
Mahabaleshwar is known for hosting several annual festivals that celebrate its scenic landscapes. One of the most popular events is the Strawberry Festival, which takes place each year during the March-April period, further attracting visitors to the hill station.
