Pune, 29th July 2023: Here are four easy ways to check your Employee Provident Fund (EPF) balance, ensuring financial security and effective retirement planning for all working individuals in India. The Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has introduced new online and offline methods to help employees stay informed about their EPF account balance.

Missed Call: If you have registered and activated your mobile number on the Universal Account Number (UAN) portal and completed your KYC, you can check your EPF balance by giving a missed call to 011-22901406. After two rings, the call will disconnect, and you will receive a text message with your balance details.

SMS: Register your UAN with EPFO and send an SMS with the subject EPFOHO UAN ENG to 7738299899. UAN is your personal Universal Account Number, and ENG represents the first three characters of your desired language. Upon sending the SMS, you will receive a response containing your PF balance details.

EPFO Online Portal: The newly introduced EPFO online portal offers a convenient way to view your PF passbook. Access the portal through the EPFO website, go to the ‘Our Services’ section, select ‘For Employees,’ and click on ‘Services.’ Choose the ‘Member Passbook’ option and enter your UAN and password to view your passbook.

UMANG Mobile Application: Utilize the government’s UMANG app to check your PF balance and perform additional tasks like raising and tracking claims. Register on the app by entering the one-time password sent to your mobile number.

By using these user-friendly methods provided by EPFO, individuals can easily keep track of their retirement savings and plan for a financially secure future.
