Stranded Since 2 PM: Pune-Bound Passengers Await Resolution at Cochin Airport

Pune/Kochi, 5th December 2024: More than 160 passengers aboard Flight IX-2417, originally scheduled to depart Cochin International Airport at 2:00 PM and land in Pune at 7:00 PM, have been stuck at the airport since this afternoon due to an extended delay. Passengers are growing increasingly frustrated as they remain without adequate provisions, including food and water, while awaiting further updates.
“We’ve been waiting for hours now, with no clear explanation as to why the flight is delayed or when we’ll finally board. There’s been no communication from the airline, and no refreshments have been offered despite asking repeatedly,” said one passenger, visibly stressed by the situation.
Many others shared similar frustrations, describing the situation as both “helpless” and “stressful.” “This is extremely inconvenient, and the lack of any support or guidance from the airline only adds to the anxiety. We just want to know what’s going on and when we can get on the plane,” another traveler added.
Despite repeated attempts to contact airline representatives for clarification on the delay and the lack of assistance provided, no official response has been received so far. Passengers are now urging the authorities to step in and address the situation urgently, calling for better communication and immediate action to resolve the delay.
UPDATE: The flight finally reached Pune around 4.20 am on Friday (6th December 2024).
