December 7 2018: Mount Litera Zee Schools (MLZS), India’s fastest growingchain of private, unaided schools is observing a nation-wide Digital Literacy program with the help of slew of initiatives. 120 schools will be organizing community outreach programmes that will not only engage students, parents, grandparents and teachers, but it will also bridge the digital gap between three generations and make them digitally future-ready. Students will have the rare opportunity to present ‘digital literacy hands-on session’ to their parents and grandparents.

Digital Awareness Rally, Nukkad Natak, Digital Fitness Session (Yoga), Digital Citizenship Quiz, Tech Geek Contest, Bookmark Contest, Signature Wall etc. are central themes through which various facets of the digital world will be weaved into the daily lives of participants. Wide ranging topics such as cyber bullying, phishing,e-commerce, net banking, e-payment of electricity, water, house tax to mobile internet bills etc. will be addressed during the awareness week.

“It is our endeavour to develop creativity and imagination skills in students – this time we have taken the most pertinent topic: digital. But we didn’t want to stop at students only, rather we want his / her entire family to be involved. We asked ourselves – how to make the parents aware of digital parenting skills? Or for that matter, how to help grandparents to come forward and become digitally at par with their grandchildren? Digital awareness is a very vast topic and hence we have designed a two-week long programme that encompasses various stakeholders as well as digital technology avenues,” said Sumit Mishra, Business Head – Mount Litera Zee School
