Students should devote themselves for Atmanirbhar Bharat: Bhagat Singh Koshyari

Pune, 25 February 2021 : Students after their formal education should work in their respective areas to make Country Aatmanirbhar (self-dependent) said the governor of Maharashtra  Bhagat Singh Koshyari on 25th February at 3rd Convocation ceremony of MIT ADT university Pune.

The MIT ADT university conferred degrees to various streams in convocation ceremony. The Governor of the state said, “Students should  work in their respective areas to make the country self dependent. However,   society has changed the lot. Now the students should not be the job seekers but job givers. The government has been investing in startups.  Those who have returned from abroad and settled in villages have created miracles. Like this, students have the ability to transform society.”

The thought of the MIT group is global and students should follow the principles of global peace laid down by Dr. Vishwanath Karad.”

The guest of honour of the convocation and former speaker of Maharashtra assembly Mr. Arun Gujrati said, “The  MIT group of institutions is the rare example of modernity and tradition. The word MIT stands for Maturity, Innovation, integrity and Tolerance. The quality of the education assures the quality of life. MIT should  expand it’s values to the other parts of India.” However he said that students should become a change for the betterment of society.”

The former ISRO chairman K. Radhakrishanan addressed the gathering virtually. In his pre recorded message he said,” technological disruption is new normal. Students should always learn new things. At an institutional level, one can not wait and watch and take calls in the age of AI and machine learning. The holistic development approach which is imbibed by the MIT ADT university is required for better society.”

The President of MIT groups of institutions Dr. Vishwanath Karad said, “Now It’s high time that the globe should come together to form a universal education council for world peace. Students should follow and respect their parents.”

On this occasion The degree certificates will be distributed to a total of 1237 students who graduated in the year 2019-20 and earlier at the graduate and post-graduate levels in 11 various disciplines. The degree certificates will be distributed in 13 different sessions on three days. Out of them, 22 students from various disciplines will be awarded gold medals and 3 Ph. D. students will be awarded degree certificates at the graduation ceremony. Out of them 350 students from MIT School of Design, 22 students of MIT SOFA, 266 students of MIT MANET, 170 students of MITCOM, 154 students of MIT ISBJ, 46 students of MIT School of Education and Research, 12 students of MIT School of Vedic Science, 48 MIT College of Food Technology, 156 students of MIT School of Engineering, 8 students of MIT School of Bioengineering Science and Research & 2 students of MIT Vishwashanti Sangeet Kala Academy will be distributed degree certificates.
