Students should give priority to Innovation, Research and Vision – Nitin Gadkari

Mumbai, March 16, 2017 : In a rapidly changing society with new technology and inventions management students have the responsibility to be engines of society by converting knowledge into wealth to give shape to the nation. This was stated by Union Minister for Road transport ,National Highways and Shipping Shri Nitin Gadkari while addressing management students as Welingkar Institute’s” We School ”convocation programme in Mumbai today .He however cautioned students that making money should be secondary for them and priority should be given to innovation ,research and vision .He asked students to be sympathetic  towards the poor who cannot afford one time meal .

Sharing his own experience about the construction of the Bandra –Worli Sea link and building of 52 bridges and 55 flyovers Mr Gadkari said that this work was done because of strong political will, appropriate  vision ,fast track decisions ,time management and team work .He stated that while working if rules become obstacles they should not be broken but can be bent for public good .
