Sudha Naravane, famous News Reader and noted Marathi Author passed away
Pune, July 24: Sudha Naravane, famous News Reader from All India Radio, Pune Station and noted Marathi short story writer passed away recently in the city. She died at the age of 88 due to cardiac arrest. She is survived by her husband Mukund Naravane, her three children and five grandchildren.
For more than 10 years, she was the news reader of the regional news bulletin from All India Radio Pune Station. For many the day started with her strong vibrant voice.
Naravane started writing when she was a teenager. She was the daughter of Prof. S.R. Parasnis. Over the years she was a recipient of many Literary awards including the prestigious Rajya Puraskar.
