Sunil Tingre, Subhash Jagtap Appointed NCP City Presidents in Pune Ahead of Municipal Elections

Pune, 1st June 2025: In a significant organizational reshuffle ahead of its foundation day celebrations, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has appointed Sunil Tingre and Subhash Jagtap as city presidents for the eastern and western divisions of Pune, respectively. The announcement comes days before the party’s anniversary event scheduled for June 10 at Mhalunge-Balewadi, where office bearers and workers from across Maharashtra are expected to gather.

NCP’s national president and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced the new appointments, while the official letters were handed over by state party president Sunil Tatkare.  

Organizational Changes in City Executive

To strengthen the party’s base and improve coordination at the city level, the NCP has appointed a team of working presidents alongside the city presidents.

  • Eastern Pune Division (Kasba, Pune Cantonment, Hadapsar, Vadgaon Sheri):
    • City President: Sunil Tingre
    • Working Presidents: Rupali Thombre, Haji Firoz Sheikh
  • Western Pune Division (Parvati, Khadakwasla, Kothrud, Shivajinagar):
    • City President: Subhash Jagtap
    • Working Presidents: Pradeep Deshmukh (re-elected), Akrur Kudale

The reshuffle follows the resignation of former city president Deepak Mankar, against whom a case was recently registered at the Samarth Police Station.
