JEE Advanced 2025 Results Declared by IIT; Counselling Begins from June 3

Pune, 2nd June 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has announced the results of the JEE Advanced 2025 examination today, June 2. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check their results on the official website: jeeadv.ac.in.
Along with the results, IIT Kanpur has also released the final answer key. The cut-off marks, list of toppers, and their individual scores are expected to be published shortly.
JEE Advanced 2025 Cut-Off Marks
This year, the minimum cut-off for the Common Rank List (CRL) was 20.56%.
For OBC and EWS categories, the cut-off stood at 10.50%, while for SC and ST candidates, it was 10.28%.
JoSAA Counselling from June 3
Based on their JEE Advanced scores, candidates will now participate in JoSAA counselling to secure admission to premier institutes including IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
The counselling registration process begins on June 3 (Tuesday) and will continue till July 28.
This year, counselling will be conducted in six rounds, unlike five rounds last year. Students will have 9 days to complete the choice-filling process, which must be locked by June 11. Post the deadline, any unconfirmed choices will be locked automatically, and no changes will be allowed.
Supernumerary Quota for Female Candidates
The supernumerary quota for girls will continue to be applicable in IIT admissions. Female candidates can avail admissions under both the female-only pool and the gender-neutral pool depending on their ranks.
JEE Advanced 2025: Exam Format
JEE Advanced is conducted in online mode and includes two compulsory papers — Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper lasts three hours and covers Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Each paper consists of 58 questions, distributed equally across the three subjects.
To appear for JEE Advanced, a candidate must first qualify JEE Main, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE Advanced is organized annually by one of the top seven IITs or IISc Bangalore on a rotational basis. This year, the exam was administered by IIT Kanpur.
