Supriya Sule Protests Outside Pune Collector Office Over Road Neglect, Alleges Hospital Negligence

Pune, 9th April 2025: Baramati MP Supriya Sule staged a protest outside the Pune District Collector’s office today, expressing frustration over the continued neglect of a key road connecting Baneshwar Phata to a nearby temple. Despite repeated appeals to the administration for its repair, no action has been taken, prompting her to launch a public demonstration.
Sule criticized the authorities for repeatedly postponing the work and failing to meet even previously announced deadlines. She highlighted the road’s importance for devotees and local residents, many of whom are facing daily hardship due to its deteriorated condition.
During the protest, Sule also raised serious concerns about the state’s healthcare system. Referring to the ‘Aarogyadoot’ health scheme, she questioned the lack of progress and accountability from the government.
She further alleged that Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital was responsible for the death of a pregnant woman, calling it an incident of medical negligence that amounts to murder. Sule demanded legal action against the hospital authorities.
“When a common man fails to pay property tax, strict action is taken. Then why should hospitals be spared when they are responsible for someone’s death?” she said, urging the administration to register a case against the hospital.
