Pune, 7th October 2023: Sur Seh Taal, a platform founded by Archana Sampkal, Roma Khemchandani, Reyckha Thadaney, Amina Lalljee, and Dipti Shah, has set a new record for the maximum number of female singers performing at a single venue. The event took place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Hotel Shantai in Pune, Maharashtra.
A total of 75 participants successfully performed 75 songs over the course of 7 hours. The event was made possible through the cooperation and support of key musicians and technicians. Deepak Upadhyay played the synthesizer, Milind Turwankar handled the Octopad and dholak, and Sound Engineer Hrishikesh Sonawane balanced the vocals with the music, providing the right reverb to enhance the singers’ performances.
The event was attended by public figures, celebrities, and reporters, all there to witness this remarkable feat. Sur Seh Taal’s tagline, “Where Voices Illuminate. Sing. Connect. Inspire,” was truly embodied during the event.
Sur Seh Taal serves as a platform to celebrate the power of music and provides an opportunity for individuals to explore their unique voices. The event encouraged women to sing, connect, and draw inspiration from fellow music enthusiasts, thereby boosting their confidence.
“We will continue to create memorable events where singers and artists can connect with others and themselves,” said the founders in a joint statement.
The event not only aimed to set a new world record but also served as an inspiration for aspiring singers and music lovers, emphasizing the transformative power of music.
