While sharing the objective behind this initiative, Ganesh Dagade said that, we have been conducting the training to help women to become self-sufficient and financially empowered, so that they contribute in the livelihood and progress of their family. We will continue to work towards this noble cause.

Dr. Sanjay Chordiya, elaborating the idea a bit further said, “The only objective of the training is women empowerment. In today’s modern era, women should not confine themselves in traditional role of house wife and cook only. They should explore their potential, by learning various activities and become financially empowered. Also, they should start a suitable business, respective to the training field. So far fashion designing is concerned, the course participants should open their own boutique and expand the business through online selling and marketing. Suryadatta Institute of Fashion Technology (SIFT) have been conducting such classes of various skill developments, from last 7 years and successfully trained more than 3000 women. It is an ongoing mission for us”.

He further explained that in the 2 months duration of this course we teach the participants various aspects of fashion designing like making baby frock, salwar kurti, one piece, menswear and also acquaint them with concepts like online marketing, market survey, designing, arranging fashion show and exhibitions etc. Elsewhere, such course is charged a fee of around Rs.40000 to Rs.50000. But, we provide this training absolutely free to needy women, with a sole purpose of women empowerment. This course is provided without any eligibility conditions like age or education for the aspirants. We have successfully trained even illiterate women. We have set a suitable timing in the afternoon, to make it convenient for the housewives. Suryadatta is content to contribute in this social work.

Anjali Karde, a participant, narrated her experience about the recent training. “it was the best training among many that I undertaken. I am thankful to Ganesh Dagade and Dr. Sanjay Chordiya. SIFT accommodated the 6 month syllabus in 2 months module. We were provided not only training, but business guidance also. We learned a lot of new concepts, which were previously unknown to us. The faculty from Suryadatta guided us in various aspects of fashion designing like choosing the right proportion of cloth and selecting suitable colour combination while making a pattern. Also the trainers taught us how to develop our personality. I wish every success to this initiative”.
