Digidhan mela to be held in Nanded to promote cashless transaction

Nanded, March 23, 2017 : The Central government is holding a ‘Digi Dhan Mela’  on 24th March 2017 in Nanded to promote digital payments. Union Human Resourse Development minister Prakash Javadekar will be the chief guest for the event. The event will witness participation from sectors such as banking, agriculture, telecom, mobile wallet operators, transport, merchants associations, various trade companies, and government institutions. There will be over 63 stalls selling a variety of products including electronic goods, foodstuffs, textiles, handicrafts, fashion accessories, etc.

The objective behind the event is to create awareness about various digital payment systems available and to handhold users into installing and using them.

Citizens will be offered help in opening their own bank accounts, linking their mobile number to their account, Aadhar enrolment, Aadhar updates, seeding Aadhar with bank account number, etc.

From Marathwada Nanded district got an opportunity to organize Digidhan Mela.

On the occasion of Digidhan Mela Nanded district has organized  a “Slogan Competition”. A separate webpage is being developed for this Digidhan Mela.
