‘Swar Bhimsen 2023’, a special theme calendar to be unveiled at Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav
Pune, December 11, Swar Bhimsen, a special theme calendar on BharatRatna Pt Bhimsen Joshi shall be unveiled at the hands of Sarod Maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan in the upcoming Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav. Conceptualized by well known industrial photographer Sateesh Paknikar, the calendar would have closeups of Pt Bhimsen Joshi showing his different facial expressions. These images on the calendar are an outcome of some excellent digital work done on actual photos of Pt Bhimsen Joshi. This special theme calendar will also have some interesting text about this Master Vocalist written by noted journalist Mukund Sangoram, informed Sateesh Paknikar. The calendar would be available at the iconic Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav at subsidized price.
Sateesh Paknikar is an acclaimed industrial photographer who is known for his outstanding theme calendars most of which are based on personalities from the world of Indian Classical music. He has been developing some wonderful theme calendars for the past two decades. Every year at Sawai, music lovers look forward to his works at the photo exhibition organized at the venue and the theme for the upcoming year’s calendar.
