Swargate Shivshahi Bus Rape Case Update: No Prior Contact Between Accused And Victim; Reveals Technical Probe

Swargate, 3rd March 2025: The ongoing technical examination of the mobile phone belonging to Dattatray Gade, the accused in the Swargate Shivshahi Bus Rape Case, has revealed that there was no prior contact between him and the victim.
Gade, who had fled the scene after the crime, was apprehended by Pune police from Gunat village in Shirur taluka late Friday night. Following his arrest, the court has remanded him to police custody until 12th March. Statements from the bus driver, conductor, and the accused have been recorded as part of the investigation.
Additionally, Gade is set to undergo a DNA test at Sassoon Hospital, with his blood samples already seized by the police. His mobile phone has been confiscated and subjected to forensic analysis, confirming that he had no prior communication with the victim.
According to police reports, Gade allegedly threatened to kill the victim before taking her into a parked Shivshahi bus, where he raped her twice. The bus has been sent for forensic examination as authorities work to gather strong evidence against the accused.
