Shirur, 3rd March 2025: The arrest of Dattatray Gade, the prime accused in the Swargate Shivshahi Bus Rape Case, has exposed a series of disturbing crimes. Gade was apprehended by the police after a 70-hour search in a sugarcane field in Shirur. However, as the investigation progresses, new shocking details about his criminal activities have emerged.
Police investigations have revealed that Gade had been exploiting women and girls for a long time. He allegedly targeted women involved in extramarital affairs, secretly recording their videos outside a lodge in the Shirur area. Using these recordings as leverage, he would blackmail his victims and force them into physical relationships.
Many of his victims, fearing societal backlash and the impact on their marriages, chose to remain silent, allowing Gade to continue his crimes unchecked. His modus operandi involved closely monitoring his targets, gathering compromising evidence, and using intimidation to ensure their compliance.
Meanwhile, the victim in the Swargate rape case has informed the police that Gade had threatened to kill her. Authorities are now working to gather substantial evidence against him to ensure justice is served.
