TAJ LAKE PALACE, UDAIPUR VOTED AMONG BEST IN THE WORLD BY READERS’ CHOICE
MUMBAI, 2 September 2016: Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur has been voted the Best Hotel in Asia and the Indian Sub-Continent by the readers of the UK’s Conde Nast Traveller magazine at the 2016 Readers’ Travel Awards. Taj Lake Palace was also ranked 6th on the World’s Top 20 across categories – the only Indian hotel to be included in this category.
Originally built in 1746 as the pleasure palace of Maharana Jagat Singh II, Taj Lake Palace is one of the most recognisable residences in the world. It was built with gleaming white marble on a central island in the stunning Lake Pichola; its romantic location affords breathtaking panoramic views towards the City Palace and Aravalli Hills.
