Talegaon: Fatal Collision on Old Pune-Mumbai Highway Claims Life of Two-Wheeler Rider

A tragic accident occurred on the old Pune-Mumbai highway, resulting from a collision between a speeding two-wheeler and a pick-up truck. The incident unfolded on Thursday night, the 27th, at around 12:45, near the ABC pump in Talegaon Dabhade.

The young man riding the two-wheeler, identified as Arjun Rajesh Vishwakarma, aged 19 and a resident of Borivali East, Mumbai, lost his life in the accident. His co-passenger, Sohan Petade, sustained severe injuries.

According to the police, Arjun Vishwakarma was travelling from Mumbai towards Pune on a two-wheeler bearing registration number MH 47 BE 1158. As they reached Talegaon Dabhade, in the vicinity of the ABC Pump, a pick-up truck was making a turn from the highway toward Mantra City. Tragically, Arjun’s two-wheeler collided with the pick-up truck, resulting in significant damage to both vehicles. Arjun sustained severe injuries and, sadly, did not survive, while Sohan Petade, his co-passenger, also suffered serious injuries.

Local authorities from the Talegaon Dabhade police station have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the collision.
